Brushed Shetland Yoke Crewneck
One of the most recognizable sweaters in our shop, the De Paz Brushed Yoke Crewneck combines the tradition of Scottish knitwear with a particularly refined construction.
The green version features a broad brown jacquard Yoke pattern across the upper section that wraps around the neck and shoulders. The contrast remains understated, highlighting the richness of the craftsmanship and the unique texture of the wool.
The sweater is crafted from 100% Shetland wool and is entirely Made in Scotland.
SEAMLESS CONSTRUCTION
One of the most interesting features of this model is its construction: the sweater is knit in a tubular shape, without the traditional joining of separate panels.
The body, shoulders, and Yoke pattern thus become part of a single knit structure. The absence of classic side seams makes the garment more fluid and allows the knit to drape naturally over the body.
The result is a particularly comfortable fit, where the yarn itself shapes the sweater.
BRUSHED SHETLAND
After knitting, the surface of the wool is brushed. This finish, known as brushed, gently lifts the fibers to create the characteristic soft, slightly fuzzy effect.
The knit thus acquires a softer hand and a fuller surface, capable of trapping more air between the fibers to offer a pleasant sense of warmth.
This treatment particularly enhances Shetland wool, which is known for its tactile character, natural elasticity, and excellent thermal qualities.
