Shetland Lined Jacket – Grey
Shetland Herringbone lined jacket
The Herringbone grey is one of those fabrics that does not need a strong color contrast to be recognizable.
In the De Paz Shetland wool jacket, the herringbone emerges through the alternating diagonals and creates a surface rich in movement, particularly evident as the light changes.
On the inside, we have chosen a burgundy lining, deeper and warmer than the exterior grey, creating an elegant contrast without being excessive.
THE HERRINGBONE
The Herringbone structure takes its name from its resemblance to a fish skeleton: the diagonal weave changes direction regularly, generating a succession of small “V” shapes.
It is a weave deeply rooted in the British textile tradition and particularly effective on wool fabrics, because it highlights the different directions of the weave without the need for printed or applied patterns.
In this case, it is made with Shetland wool, a fiber appreciated for its fineness, natural crimp, and ability to be transformed into both lightweight fabrics and sturdier tweeds.
The result is a jacket that is classic in tone but very rich in texture.
