De Paz Cap in Saxony Tweed – Grey
De Paz Original Cap in Saxony Tweed Herringbone
The sobriety of grey meets one of the most recognizable textures in sartorial tradition with the De Paz Original Cap in Saxony Tweed Herringbone.
The herringbone pattern creates a surface made of small diagonals that change direction, adding depth to the fabric without making it ostentatious. The more refined hand of Saxony makes the result particularly balanced.
As with all our Original Caps, the fabric has been selected by De Paz and is of the same quality level as the cloths we use for the sartorial garments in our store.
SAXONY AND HERRINGBONE
The Saxony belongs to the family of the finest and softest wool fabrics, historically linked to Saxony Merino wools. It is appreciated precisely for its less rustic character compared to traditional tweeds.
What makes it even more interesting in this variant is the Herringbone weave: a succession of “V”-shaped diagonals whose pattern resembles a fish bone.
It is a very ancient weave, which has become a staple in the language of British tailoring and is particularly effective on wool fabrics, where light highlights the changes in the direction of the weave.
