Raglan Coat in Donegal Herringbone Tweed – Bottle Green

Sale price€980,00

Donegal Herringbone Tweed Raglan Coat

The De Paz Raglan Coat in Donegal Herringbone Tweed interprets one of the most iconic styles of British tradition through an exceptional 700g 100% Irish wool cloth, which is warm, substantial, and durable.

Crafted from original certified Irish Donegal Tweed, selected and imported directly from Ireland by De Paz, this variant features a deep bottle green base, enlivened by the characteristic colored flecks of Donegal and the classic Herringbone weave. The contrasting yellow inner lining adds a distinctive touch.

The cut is that of the traditional long Raglan coat, characterized by the unique sleeve construction that starts directly from the neck area. This structure naturally follows movement, makes it easier to wear over jackets and knitwear, and contributes to the soft and comfortable silhouette typical of the model.

The front closure features a button and counter-button, while the construction is completed by two outer pockets, two internal pockets with buttons, the traditional deep internal newspaper pocket, and a back vent.

THE RAGLAN COAT

The Raglan coat owes its name to Lord Raglan, a 19th-century British general who lost an arm during the Battle of Waterloo.

The particular construction of the sleeve, cut continuously from the neck area rather than the shoulder, was created to offer greater freedom of movement and ease of wear. From a functional solution of military origin, the Raglan became a staple of the British male wardrobe, becoming a symbol of informal and timeless elegance.

THE DONEGAL HERRINGBONE TWEED

The Donegal Tweed takes its name from County Donegal, in the northwest of Ireland, a territory with a long tradition of wool processing.

The typical colored flecks or neps distributed throughout the weave make the surface vivid, irregular, and immediately recognizable. In this variant, the Donegal meets the classic Herringbone weave, characterized by the typical zig-zag pattern in the shape of a “V”, resembling a herring bone.

The significant weight of 700g makes this cloth exceptionally warm, substantial, durable, and protective, ideal for the coldest season.

The De Paz Raglan Coat is 100% Made in Italy and crafted according to sartorial criteria, using original certified Irish Donegal Herringbone Tweed in 100% Irish wool, selected and imported directly from Ireland by De Paz.
