Donegal Herringbone Tweed Raglan Coat – Blue

Sale price€980,00

Donegal Herringbone Tweed Raglan Coat

The De Paz Donegal Herringbone Tweed Raglan Coat brings together two elements deeply rooted in the tradition of British and Irish tailoring: the Raglan construction and an exceptional 700g Donegal Tweed in 100% Irish wool.

The blue variant enhances the classic Herringbone weave and the characteristic colored flecks of Donegal, which emerge from the background to create a surface with depth and rich nuances. The contrasting red lining completes the garment with a bold detail.

The model features a long and comfortable cut, with the characteristic Raglan sleeve that originates from the neckline and follows the shoulder without being interrupted by a traditional seam. This construction ensures great freedom of movement and makes it easy to wear over jackets and knitwear.

The closure is finished with a button and internal counter-button. The garment is completed by two external pockets, two internal buttoned pockets, the traditional deep internal newspaper pocket, and a rear vent.

THE RAGLAN COAT

The model takes its name from Lord Raglan, a 19th-century British general. The sleeve construction was created to offer greater freedom of movement and a more comfortable fit.

The Raglan sleeve develops from the neck area, eliminating the classic shoulder seam and creating a softer line. From a functional military detail, it has become one of the most recognizable features of the British coat.

THE DONEGAL HERRINGBONE TWEED

The Donegal Tweed originates from the great textile tradition of County Donegal, Ireland, and is recognizable by the characteristic colored flecks or neps inserted into the weave.

In this version, the fabric features the classic Herringbone weave, constructed using diagonals that alternately change direction to create the typical "V"-shaped zig-zag.

The geometry of the Herringbone and the chromatic irregularity of the Donegal create a particularly rich fabric. With a weight of 700g, the cloth is exceptionally warm, durable, protective, and comfortable.

The De Paz Raglan Coat is 100% Made in Italy and crafted according to sartorial standards, using certified original Irish Donegal Herringbone Tweed in 100% Irish wool, selected and imported directly from Ireland by De Paz.
